Why Rtanj

Rtanj is no ordinary mountain. A pyramid-shaped peak, legends of hidden treasure and a special energy, springs at its foot believed to heal: people have come here for decades to rest and recharge. Whether you believe in energy or not, the silence of the mountain does its work: after two days your breath slows and your thoughts clear. That makes Rtanj a natural place for any inner work, whether it centres on yoga, breath, movement, art or silence.

A digital detox without trying

Power in the village is solar and phones charge at the bar. So the screen stays in your pocket and the day is measured by the sun. No traffic, no noise, just meadow, forest and mountain, so the group settles faster into what it came for.

The rhythm the village gives

The programme is yours; the village gives it a frame. Mornings are cool and quiet, perfect for practice as the sun lights the peak. Midday is spent in the shade of the grove. Before sunset comes the golden hour, when the light pours across the meadows and the whole camp glows. And the nights are dark and clear, with the Milky Way overhead. Many facilitators build their schedule around exactly these moments.

Add experiences to your programme

A dawn hike to Šiljak, a night under the stars, horse riding across the meadows or a visit to Bogovina cave: we arrange it all as part of your programme, for the whole group or as a free choice.

Many groups also stop at Vrelo, a place at the foot of the mountain believed to hold a special energy. A short walk and a few minutes of silence there often become one of the strongest moments of the retreat.

Retreat questions

What kind of retreats can we host in the village?

Yoga, meditation, breathwork, silent retreats, women’s and men’s circles, art and dance workshops, team and leadership retreats. The programme is yours; the village provides space, stay and food.

For how many people?

From small groups of 4–5 to 200. We adapt the space, the stay and the kitchen to the group size.

Is there internet?

Power is solar and phones charge at the bar, so most people leave their screens aside. For many groups it is the best part of the retreat.

Where do people sleep?

In tipis or their own tents, in the grove and on the meadow facing Rtanj.
