A cave near the village
Bogovina cave is in the village of Bogovina, in Boljevac municipality, not far from Rtanj. It is one of the longest caves in Serbia, with passages full of formations, halls and underground streams running for kilometres into the hill.
Part of the cave has a path for visitors. Inside the temperature stays low and constant, so it is the perfect trip for the hottest summer days, when the meadow under Rtanj is baking.
Visiting
- bring a jumper or jacket, it is cold in the cave
- wear closed shoes, the path is damp
- check the opening hours before you go; we arrange transport from the village on request
